Installation
How it works
1
Confirm your joist direction
Look up at the joists over the bowing wall. Running parallel with the wall? This parallel brace is the right choice.
2
Attach the bridging assembly
Lag the parallel bridging assembly across the adjacent floor joists to create a solid anchor spanning the joist bays.
3
Set the steel beam
Stand your cut-to-length steel beam against the wall and seat it into the idler.
4
Tighten gradually
Use the torque wrench to apply pressure. Over days or weeks, snug it further to walk the wall back to plumb.
